About our group sales program

East Cleveland Theater developed the group sales program to provide discounted ticket rates for groups for 20 or more and also to provide fundraising opportunities for groups and organizations.

        
                                 


DINNER THEATER PACKAGE
If you wish, a special dinner theater package can be arranged for the members of your group. East Cleveland theater can accommodate up to 120 people at a catered buffet dinner in the theater's dining hall. The cost of the dinner is $14.00 per person plus the cost of the theater ticket. Additional fees may be charged for special menus and/or services. A minimum of fifty (50) people must be guranteed and paid for in full at least one week prior to the performance date.

    Terms of Payment
            All group sale ticket accounts must be paid for in full not later than seven (7) days prior to the 
            performance date. To receive credit, unsold tickets must be returned to the theater seven (7)
            days before the performance date, unless special arrangements have been made in advance.

Fundraising

The program is founded on a very basic sales technique:  buy a product at wholesale price and then sell it for “market value”.  In this case, “market value” is the price you will charge for the tickets, which is determined by your group.  East Cleveland will sell you the tickets at a price which is considerably lower than our box office rates (see chart below) and you, in turn resell the tickets at a price that is higher than the box office rates.  Since your customers know that you are selling the ticket as a fundraising activity, they will be willing to pay the higher price to ensure that the fundraising effort will be a success:

ECT will assist you in selling your tickets and publicizing your event by printing tickets and flyers for the performance you choose.  Your special ticket will highlight your performance date and ticket price, along with the name of your group.  In addition, we can provide you a maximum of 75 one-page flyers publicizing your event.  These flyers can contain any additional information your may request.  Your tickets and flyers will be provided at no additional cost to your group.

                                                                                                    
Receptions

Receptions may be held before the show only.  If your group wishes to host a reception prior to the performance, the theater will arrange for the use of the social hall (for groups of 50 or more) for up to 1.5 hours prior to show time.  Groups may serve finger foods and either non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages, however, no food may be prepared or reheated at the theater.  In addition, your group is responsible for providing all napkins, plates, cups, serving utensils, etc. as well as both setting up and cleaning up the area.
